Year 7 Science Highlight 

Melbourne Zoo Excursion

On Tuesday 21st May, under overcast skies, Mullauna’s year 7 cohort descended upon Melbourne Zoo in Parkville as part of their semester 1 Science excursion.

 As part of the excursion, students participated in a program which was based on the different types of adaptations seen in various animal species, based on the selection pressures of their habitats. 

Students were also provided with an opportunity to observe a range of animal skulls, which gave them a unique & up-close perspective of the specific requirements associated with different habitats & ecosystems. 

Everyone seemed to enjoy the change of scenery for the day & represented Mullauna with pride, respect & integrity throughout the day, & had plenty of stories to take home with them no doubt!
