Good Shepherd Lutheran School Para Vista is an ELC to Year 6 primary school, situated in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide. The school has an enrolment of approximately 530 students, divided into 5 learning stages: Early Learning, Foundation, Years 1/2, Years 3/4, and Years 5/6.

The school has a clear focus on proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and providing high quality educational programs, that serve to prepare students for life. This is done in the context of a caring community. All students are valued as unique individuals who we challenge to fulfil their God given potential in life. The curriculum focuses strongly on Literacy and Numeracy, while also providing rich experiences through transdisciplinary and project based learning in all other areas.
Specialist learning areas include Visual Arts, Creative Arts, Physical Education, Health & Wellbeing and Auslan. Structures and processes are in place to provide support to students during their learning journey. Strong partnership with families invites involvement in many aspects of school life.
Students and staff enjoy the benefits of working a well resourced and safe environment. The following minor building projects took place in 2023:
- renewal of the Senior Primary ablutions
- refurbishment of staffroom wellbeing space
- upgrade of lighting and soundproofing of rooms
- addition of two outdoor basketball rings and accompanying courts
A strong transition program from our Curiosity ELC site, provides children with opportunities to build relationships with key staff, with regular visits to the school library, gym, playgrounds and classrooms providing a smooth transition into the school environment.
Graduating students have priority entry to Endeavour College, Mawson Lakes and together with Endeavour College, Good Shepherd provides a seamless Early Learning to Year 12 Lutheran education for families in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
