Teachers are currently finalizing student assessment data in preparation for our Semester 1 reports. Over the next couple of weeks, all teachers will work in Professional Learning Teams to moderate and finalize assessments. This will ensure consistent and comparable judgments of student learning against the Victorian Curriculum or the EAL continuum.
We look forward to sharing your child’s learning journey with you in their Semester 1 report, which will be released online via Compass at the end of Term 2.

On Tuesday the 22nd of May the Foundation, Grade One and Grade 2 students participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime. The National Simultaneous Storytime is held every year by the Australian Library and Information Association. This year’s book was Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. It is a moving story of longing and connection, that unfolds as the bowerbird search sends him soaring across the sea, sky and city. A special thank you to Mrs O’Rielly for her reading and organisation for the storytime
In just our first week, you have helped us raise over $1000!
But it's not over yet! We are $4000 away from sliming our first teacher! Remember to sign up at https://www.schoolfunrun.com.au/ and create a profile to start raising funds. You can do this individually or as a family. The prizes for raising funds will be ordered at the end of the fundraiser (27th of June) which we will have a spectacular Colour Run on this day! All students and parents will be invited to participate in this event. Remember, if we make our grand total target of $30,000 - we will get to slime me, Mrs Hassanein! Something our students are very excited to do!Thank you again for all your support!

Next week students may take part in extra classroom activities. National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
