Prep Artists Inspired by Kandinsky!

Last week, our Prep students explored the colourful world of abstract art through the eyes of Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky. Known for his love of shapes and bold use of colour, Kandinsky served as the perfect inspiration for our budding artists.

Using his famous concentric circles as a starting point, the children created their own vibrant artworks—this time using concentric hearts! Each layer of the heart was painted in a different colour, allowing students to experiment with colour combinations, brush control, and expressing emotions through art. We’re so proud of our young artists for their focus, creativity, and enthusiasm!
