Mandarin day
Thank you to the Prep Reps and families for your help providing a delicious lunch for our students on Mandarin Day. Dim sums, spring rolls and fortune cookies were a great hit!
Maytime Fair
One goal of SH PA is to give back to others and our community. Last Saturday we supported Xavier College at their Maytime Fair where profits from the fair go to Jesuit Mission. Thank you to the Year 1 Reps for organising the coffee cart on the day. Thank you especially to Menoz, Mel T, Kate H, Selina, Marlo, Sebastien, Pat, Angela G, Victoria L, Laura K, Nicole R and Bec S for your help on Saturday.
Mothers Day Stall and Morning Tea
Thank you to the Senior Level Reps; Emma, Laura, Prue, Jacqui and Jane and volunteers for organising the Mothers Day Stall and Morning tea this year. Thank you too to all our special mums of Sacred Heart for all your support and contributions to our school community. Wishing you all a very Happy Mothers' Day and we hope you love your special gifts you will receive on Sunday!
Fundraising Apron Design Competition
As part of our fundraising efforts for the School Musical we will be selling new Sacred Heart Aprons designed by a Sacred Heart student with the theme - What makes Sacred Heart so special?
Thank you to all the students who entered our Apron Design Competition. We narrowed it down to 5 designs and the winning design was chosen by Fr Michael Kong. Congratulations to Tom B in Year 3. We can’t wait to use your gorgeous design to create wonderful aprons for our school community. Keep your eyes out for when the aprons will be available to purchase!
Ladies Lunch
The excitement is building for our annual Ladies Lunch on Friday June 13 at Molli Rooftop Abbotsford. Make sure to put this date in your calendar! Thank you to the Year 4 Parent Reps; Simona, Christina, Indy and Dani K for all your hard work organising this year's event. The profits from this year's lunch will be going towards a new imaginary play space for our children and the props and costumes for our school musical. Thank you so much to Jellis Craig and Smile Council for your amazing support as Silver Sponsors and Lonsford Insurance Brokers for your generous sponsorship too. We are building a wonderful collection of Silent Auction items that will be available for purchase leading up to and on the day of the event. If you or a local business can contribute please reach out to us at sacredheartpa3101@gmail.com. We appreciate your support.
In continuing with our goal of giving back to others and the community we have also chosen a women's charity to align with and support this Ladies Lunch, which is Share the Dignity. Share the Dignity is an incredible organisation that assists those in need by collecting hundreds of thousands of period products each year through collection drives and campaigns. These products are then distributed directly to charities across Australia. https://www.sharethedignity.org.au/

Sacred Heart Meals Service
What is the meals service?
The Sacred Heart Meals Service is available to all Sacred Heart families that require some practical help in the form of meals at a time of need. This may be due to a very happy occasion such as a new birth in the family, or in more difficult circumstances such as a death or illness in a family.
How does it work?
The Meals Service Coordinators can be contacted by a teacher, class rep, member of the Parents Association, a friend within the school or the family members themselves. The coordinators would then contact the family to chat about what would be helpful (e.g. how often, favourite meals, dietary requirements etc) and then coordinate the service, requesting assistance from the relevant year level.
It’s important to note that we are very careful in being discreet at all times and maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the family are happy with what information (if any) is passed on to those we are asking to assist.
We can be contacted via the following methods:
Amy McIvor
Ph 0411 034 463
Caroline O’Sullivan
Ph 0419 100 964
Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions, we are here to help!
Kind regards,
Caroline O’Sullivan (Billy Year 4) and Amy McIvor (Rafferty Year 3)
