Prayer for Mother's Day

PRAYER FOR THE NEW POPE

POPE LEO XIV

Faithful God, who speaks through your Spirit and leads your Church in every age. 

We give thanks for Pope Leo XIV and for the movement of your Spirit during the time of discernment. 

May he lead with compassion and courage, building bridges between people, and calling us to live with unity, inclusion, hope, and love. 

Renew his energy for the Gospel, and help him never to lose sight of Christ, especially in the poor, the forgotten, and the outcast.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Our Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge that we learn, grow, create and celebrate on Wurundjeri Country. 

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share the glorious land, sky, waterways, and wonderful wildlife with the traditional owners.

Exploring Country brings us joy, happiness and peace. 

We will continue our connection with Country through respectful play, by caring for our community and the environment and engaging in learning that challenges injustice and leads change.
