Student Voice

English Club

The House Captain team are introducing a new initiative for IPS students - the Tutoring Club. It will provide a space and support for any students who would like some help with English tasks. Students will get help to read or finish off work with the guidance of House Captains with Mr. Pearce supplying supervision and support.

This student-led initiative will begin on Tuesday of week 3 in the upstairs beehive and will continue each Tuesday lunch time. So, if you're seeking extra time to finish off work, need some quiet time to sit and read, or just want the time to relax, come to the English club beginning Tuesday the 6th May.

Foundation Water Play

Look at the fun students from FD are having whilst learning to read!  Believe it or not, they are learning all about the 'w' sound.  They are having so much fun learning through play.  They 'w'ashed animals, created a under 'w'ater 'w'orld, painted with 'w'ater and turned chalk drawings into paint by spraying them with 'w'ater!

Buddy Program Year 4 and Foundation

Our Buddy program teams up students from an older grade with our youngest students.  The main focus is to support transitions, student wellbeing, confidence and connection to school.  Last week our year 4 students teamed up with their Foundation buddies and created some amazing paper planes which they flew to find out which design was the most aerodynamic!

Year 3 IMAX Excursion

🌎 Our Year 3 space explorers blasted off on an incredible journey to IMAX yesterday! We zoomed through the city by train to watch "The Story of Earth" in stunning 3D - talk about bringing Science class to life!

🚂 The adventure began at Ivanhoe Station, with our students making their way through the beautiful Carlton Gardens. The movie was really engaging, and Mother Nature blessed us with perfect weather for a playground pitstop before we headed home.

⭐ The year three teachers were proud of our amazing students who represented our school magnificently throughout the day. Though they returned with tired feet, their minds were buzzing with curiosity! 🌟
