Lunch & snacks
As the weather turns cooler, we’ve noticed some hungry kids at school. We've had quite a few students coming to the office without lunch (or still hungry).
We love encouraging independence, with children packing their own lunch, but please help your child remember to pack enough food (and perhaps a little extra) each day so they can stay full and ready to learn.
Lost & found
Last term a Micro scooter was found outside the Prep classrooms. Please contact us if you know who it belongs to at port.melbourne.ps@education.vic.gov.au .
Assemblies
In Term 2, assemblies will be held every second week, except for Week 8 (King's Birthday) at 2:50pm:
- 12 May
- 26 May
- 23 June.
Student free days
Our staff planning and report writing days are booked in for the year. Students are not required to attend school on the following days:
- Term 2: Friday 6 June
- Term 4: Friday 21 November and Monday 8 December
You can book into the TeamKids vacation care program on this day.
Camps
- Year 3 – Mt Evelyn, 12-13 June 2025
- Year 4 – Camp Jungai, 27-29 October 2025
- Year 5 – Marysville, 1-3 September 2025.
Dress up days
- Term 2: Bastille Day – last week of Term 2
- Term 3: Book Week – late August
- Term 4: Arts Day – Tuesday 11 November
Year 6 Graduation
Year 6 families, come and celebrate your child graduating on Thursday 11 December.
