French Trip
Bonjour!
In the final week of Term 1 a group of intrepid travellers, along with teachers Karen Austin and Saxon Wilson, made their way across the Indian Ocean to Europe and the beautiful country of France.
Our tour began in beautiful Spring weather and with sightseeing around Paris for a few days. Next, we took the bullet train (TGV) to the French Riviera in the Cote d’Azur to explore Nice and Monaco. From there, a tour bus took us around the entire country.
We headed to many glorious towns and cities in the regions of Provence, Occitanie, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Loire Valley, and Normandy. In these places we explored ancient castles and Roman ruins, extravagant cathedrals and chateau, even World War Two remains, all while passing through such picturesque countryside.
Our tour ended with another few days in beautiful Paris, and then on for our long trip home. Exhausted, but with fantastic lifelong memories, we thank God for this incredible opportunity and for keeping us all safe and well.

Year 7 Camp at Adare
A Time of Fun, Friendship, Faith and Reflection
In Week 11 last term, our Year 7 students headed off on their much-anticipated camp to Adare House in Victor Harbor. Over the course of three days and two nights, students had the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, bond with classmates, and grow both personally and spiritually.
Students were placed into tribes and took part in a wide range of team-building activities, including kayaking, water obstacles, mountain biking, the Beyond Limits relay, the Flying Kiwi, brain twisters, The Cactus, and the exciting End Game. Each activity encouraged teamwork, resilience, and a spirit of fun as students worked together to overcome challenges.
It was wonderful to see so many students take risks, try new activities, conquer fears, and participate in experiences they had never encountered before. Whether it was being raised 15 metres above ground level by their fellow tribe members or paddling through the water, each student showed courage and a willingness to give things a go.
A strong focus of the camp was on the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Every night, devotions were held where Bible scriptures were read and discussed. Students reflected on how the events of their day connected with the Bible verses and the Fruits of the Spirit. It was heartwarming to see them support, encourage, and pray for one another throughout the experience, applying these spiritual lessons to their actions and attitudes.
We are grateful to all the staff who came along and supported the students, caring for them, encouraging them and creating a safe and joyful environment. Their presence made a big difference and helped make camp such a positive experience for everyone.
Camp was not only a time for adventure but also for creating deeper friendships and treasured memories. We thank God for the beautiful weather, the safety of all involved and for the joy-filled moments that made this camp so special.
We hope that the lessons learned and memories made will stay with our students for many years to come.
