John 10:27–30
“My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
Summary
In this passage, Jesus describes His followers as sheep who know and trust His voice. He promises them eternal life and protection, saying no one can take them away from Him or from God. He finishes by saying that He and God the Father are one—fully united in love and power.
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You are the Good Shepherd, and we are Your sheep.
You know us deeply—our hopes, our worries, our struggles, and our joys.
You call us by name, and You lead us with gentleness and strength.
Help us to hear Your voice, even in the noise of everyday life.
Thank You for the gift of Your presence,
For the promise that we are never alone,
And for holding us safely in Your hands.
No fear, no burden, no trouble is greater than Your love.
When we feel lost, remind us that You are near.
When life feels heavy, carry us with Your peace.
May we trust in Your care,
And follow You with open hearts, now and always.
Amen.
We keep Sonny and Sarah from in our prayers who are preparing to make their First Communion and Confirmation sacraments.
