YEAR 12

TERM 3

 Year 12 Key Information

  • Celebration Dinner table grouping wishes are being finalised. Please ensure all students have communicated with me. Information and ticket prices will be communicated soon.

  • During Sports this week, students were given a chance to get information about QTAC applications, resumes, upskilling, and getting ready for work for next year. Next  Tuesday, we will be dedicated to celebration dinner preparations. It is a very exciting time!

  • Having walked around the adjacent streets of the College, especially Lindel Drive, could I please urge our P platers to be considerate to residents when parking? Thank you so much.

  • I would just like to confirm that the last day of school for our Year 12 students is Wednesday, 13 November, after Graduation Mass. All Year 12 students are expected to attend Graduation Mass.

Junior Secondary & All of College Information:

  • We are excited to announce that, as a College, we are now actively using the new MyCE App! This incredible user-friendly app allows families to easily access school-based information relevant to their child/ren. Please see further details below on the significant features and benefits and how to download and log in to your account.

  • Over 55 students and staff will participate in the Cairns Running Festival tomorrow in Half-Marathon, 10 km and 5 km distances! We wish all competitors the best of luck, especially our Run Squad students, who have been training for this event for months!

  • Next Friday (19 July) is the Cairns Show Holiday. Enjoy this long weekend opportunity, as it's the last we have until the King's Birthday in October.

  • It was excellent to see so many students who returned at the beginning of Term 3, meeting all College Uniform and Personal Grooming expectations. Students' commitment to supporting and representing our College with pride has been recognised and commended. Students are reminded to continue upholding these expectations for the term. If students need to modify these expectations, they should see their Head of Year beforehand.

MyCE Parent App: Please Download Now!

The MyCE App is available to all families with students enrolled at any Catholic School within the Catholic Education Dioceses of Cairns. It is the easiest and most efficient way to access information regarding your child(ren) and their school-based information.

The functionality is fantastic! As of right now, all St Mary's families can:

Log an absence, view the College events calendar, check your child's daily schedule, access and sign your Parent Slips, receive targeted news feed notifications (that are only relevant to your child,) view and download student reports, access College documents quickly...the list goes on and on!

We encourage all families to download the app as soon as possible, as we are now actively using the platform as a primary communication tool.
