 WELCOME BACK

Welcome back, everyone! We hope you all had a restful break and are ready for an exciting Term 3. It is hard to believe we are already 2 weeks down!! We are thrilled to see how well our students have settled in, embracing new challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and positivity.

The start of this term has been fantastic, with students quickly getting back into the swing of things. Classrooms are buzzing with energy and engagement, and it’s wonderful to witness the eagerness to learn and participate in various activities. Term 3 sees lots of incredible and exciting events and experiences coming up for our students. Keep your eye on our Facebook page and keep reading our newsletter to hear all about these things.

We look forward to a productive and enjoyable term ahead. Let’s make Term 3 a memorable one for all the right reasons.

HOOPTIME

This week a group of our Year 3/4 students participated in the Hooptime Basketball Tournament. Our young athletes showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, making our school incredibly proud.

Throughout the tournament, these students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, seamlessly supporting each other on and off the court. Their camaraderie and positive attitude were evident in every match, exemplifying true sportsmanship by cheering on peers and congratulating opponents.

A special shout out goes to our coaches and supportive parents, whose guidance and encouragement were instrumental in the team's success. Their commitment helped our students hone their skills and build confidence.

DIVISION FOOTBALL COMPETITION

Today our Year 5/6 football team competed in the AFL Division Competition. Competing against other district-winning schools, our team demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, representing our school with pride and excellence.

The competition showcased the best young football talent in the region, and whilst we didn’t quite walk away with any victories, our team rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and grit. Each match displayed their hard work and dedication, as they tackled, passed, and kicked their way through intense games.

This is a great opportunity for our students to experience the next tier of competition and we thank Mr Scanlon for guiding this experience.

BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE

A massive thank you to our Parents and Friends for their incredible support and efforts in running a highly successful sausage sizzle at Pakenham Bunnings on Sunday. The weather was kind and people came out in their droves to purchase delicious snags and drinks at our stall. We are so grateful for all of the volunteers who gave up their time on the day to cook, serve, set up and pack up. Your support is greatly appreciated. The end profit of the day was just over $1800 which is almost a Pakenham Bunnings record!!!! The school will work alongside of Parents and Friends and our students in identifying where these funds will spent within the school in the coming weeks.

Well done everyone!!!

BOOK WEEK

Start thinking about your Book Week costumes!!! Our annual Book Week dress up day and parade is taking place on Monday 19th August (Week 6). Our parade will take place at 9 am in the gym and we welcome all families to attend. This parade offers every student the exciting opportunity to showcase their favourite book character they have dressed up in.

We are continuing our tradition from last year and kindly requesting families to contribute a new book to enrich our school library. The donated book will become a part of your child's Learning Community, and a special sticker will acknowledge your family's generosity. This initiative allows students to borrow each other's books from their Learning Community Library.

SCHOOL DISCO

We are only one week away from our annual school disco. We can’t wait to see all of our students come and have an absolute blast with DJ STEW pumping out all of the hits. Please check Compass to purchase tickets for your child.
