100 Days of School!

Congratulations Foundations (and families) you have been at school for over 100 days! What an amazing accomplishment.

Foundation students have made a great start to a chilly term three! Despite the rain and cold, the students have settled back into their routines and have been ready to learn. It was very exciting to have their first wet day timetable!

Swimming

The Foundation students have enjoyed the learn to swim program at Ivanhoe Aquatic Centre. The students have impressed us with how well they have been organising their belongings and getting on and off the bus (their first ever Foundation bus trip).

Visit from the Firefighters!

We have had our first visit from Northcote Firefighters with our own local hero, Dave. The students learnt how to find a safe place and crawl out of a fire. We can’t wait to welcome them back for their second session.

Reading

It has been wonderful to see students’ reading logs filling up and displaying a sense of pride and achievement. Keep up the good work! We can’t wait to tick off 25 nights of reading.

Writing

This term in writing the students have been building on their understanding of nouns by adding adjectives to their writing, creating extra detail. We have been working on writing more than one sentence using connectives to expand ideas.
