Junior Concert 2024 “Let the Games Begin!”
Preparations for this year’s Prep – Year 3 Junior Concert are well underway. It should be a great night and we are looking forward to you all seeing the show.
The concert will be presented on Tuesday 3rd September (for students in Kimba and Korra) and Wednesday 4th September (for students in Wulun/Yindi) at the Crossway Centre, 2 Vision Drive, Burwood East. If you are unsure which House your child is in, please refer to the Student Details section on the Sentral portal. Houses are listed next to the student photo.
All students will be required to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. The concert will run for approximately 1 hour.
The students will be attending a rehearsal at The Crossway Centre on Tuesday 3rd September during the day – transport will be provided by the school (there is no cost). This will be the children’s opportunity to practise at the venue in preparation for both the concert evenings.
Tickets are now available for purchase through TryBooking via the following link:
https://www.trybooking.com/CUAKE
The cost of tickets is $20.00 for adults and $12.00 for Children/Concession holders. *Children performing in the concert do not require tickets.
Costume Requirements
Families will need to provide base costumes and the school will provide accessories where needed. Some classes have two costumes.
Please see below for base costume requirements:
Preps: Athletic clothing (sneakers/runners, sports shorts, colourful shirt)
1JM and 1KG: Athletic clothing and a bike helmet.
1/2GA and 2AT:
French theme - Striped top, black pants or skirt.
Global theme - Dress from your culture (similar to Harmony Day) or wear athletic clothing.
This will be a quick costume change so needs to be something students can put over the top of their French costume.
2OF and 3MP: Race walking - All black clothing with bright coloured sneakers/runners.
Martial Arts - School will provide but if your child owns a martial arts uniform (white pants, jacket, belt) they are welcome to wear it for the performance.
3CG and 3MB: Weightlifting - Coloured singlet, sneakers/runners, black shorts.
Swimming: Swimming clothing - minimum rashie and boardies (no bikinis or speedos on stage please). Swimming cap or goggles would be great.
