Exciting Library Visits and Community Engagement!
Dear Kingswood, Primary School Families,
We have had a week full of enriching experiences and heart-warming community connections here at Kingswood Primary School. We are delighted to share some of the highlights with you!
Marcus Road Visits Our Library
Our library was buzzing with excitement recently when children from the Marcus Road Kinder graced us with their presence. Our wonderful Senior Choir entertained the audience with a medley of songs, including 'Dandelions' by Ruth B, that mesmerised everyone. Their performance truly showcased their talent and dedication.
In addition to the musical performance, our Year 6 leaders took on the role of storytellers, reading two delightful picture storybooks to our enchanting kinder children. The interaction didn’t stop there; our kinder students had the opportunity to share their favourite books with the Year 6 leaders, creating a joyful exchange of stories and smiles. The Kinder children then borrowed some of our books to take back and read at Marcus Road Kinder.
A Heartfelt Visit to Nido Early Centre
Our community spirit continued as two of our Year 6 leaders, accompanied by Mrs. Franklyn, visited the Nido Early Centre. They brought a special picture book to read to the preschool children and then donated it to their library. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our younger community members and spread the love of reading.
New World Map Installation
We are thrilled to announce that our new world map is now proudly displayed in the office area. Thanks to the feedback from our community leaders survey, this map highlights the diverse global origins of our school community. Our Year 6 leaders have placed 40 pins on the map to showcase the various parts of the world our families call home. We encourage you to come by and explore this vibrant representation of our multicultural community!
A Big Thank You
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Parent Association for their generous support, which helped fund our new multicultural display. Your contributions make a significant difference in enhancing our school’s learning environment.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, our community working party is excited to start implementing some of the fantastic suggestions from the recent survey. We are committed to making our school an even better place for our students and families and your input is invaluable in this process.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we are making a positive impact on our school community.
