Student Attendance

School attendance plays a critical role in enhancing the lives of students in schools. Every day of attendance adds to a student’s academic achievement and success at school, and conversely every absence can impact their learning and progress.  Reasons for student absence must be provided within 7 days of the absence via the Compass portal.

Parents and carers of students who have accrued numerous days of absence or late arrivals may be asked to attend an Attendance Improvement Planning meeting.

Parents/carers may approach the school to seek permission for extended leave for their child to travel during school term. Extended leave is considered to be 5 or more days during the school term for the purpose of a family holiday, family business, bereavement or other reasons.

Parents/carers must complete and submit the Application for Extended Leave Form (A1) prior to commencing leave or apply for extended leave in writing to the principal directly. If you have any questions regarding student attendance please contact the school office.

Term Three -Staff Development Day

On Friday, 27th September, the school staff will engage in a Staff Development Day away from the school premises. During this time teachers will have the opportunity to  further deepen their understanding of their faith through the lens of Prayer.

This professional experience will enable teachers to explore the concept of Prayer, what prayer can look like in their daily lives and how prayer allows us to come to know God more.

Supervision will be provided at school if required.
