From the Classroom

Grade 1/2G

Welcome to Week 9!

News from 1/2 Grant,

We can’t believe term three is nearly over and we are heading into the final term of the year!

This term we have had a lot of fun going back over our baby photos and looking at how cute we used to be (and still are of course) with chubby cheeks, cheesy smiles and most importantly, how we have grown and developed during this short time in your child’s life. Everyone loved creating their time lines and were very proud to share their work with each other.

In this unit children learnt about staying safe and taking responsible risks, healthy food, expressing their emotions clearly, and dealing with conflict. We discussed how they have changed in their life and reflect on the things that they will be able to do in the future. To end the term, we have been learning how to write a persuasive text about the importance of healthy eating.

Last Friday was a very exciting day, when we finally received our new individual tables. The children love these as they have their own special space for independent learning but still close enough to each other. So far, I can report a much calmer classroom environment with students a lot more focused.

Have a great week!
