Kids Corner

The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special. 

This fortnight, some of our very talented Year 2 children would like to showcase their poetry skills. The theme of the learning was 'bringing a character to life'. The children selected a character from a story they have read or previously written. They then created an identity poem about that character (after developing their identity in detail) using the 'I am' poem structure. They focused on implementing 'less familiar language' and flow through connecting ideas. I trust you enjoy reading them just as much as I did.
