This term has flown by and now we are ending Term 3. Just in a snap of a finger, our last term of school for 2024 is about to begin. There were many fun activities that have happened recently at our amazing school such as the Grade 6 students learning about drama during our literacy sessions. We had an incursion where we took a deep dive into our thinking skills. We learnt about the different types of expressions characters show, as well as acting as different things. It was so much fun and who would’ve thought we would do this during English lessons?
Next term, 32 of our students are representing our school and District at the Divisional Athletics championships. Our students did very well to qualify, and I wish them all the best of luck.
We also have the girl’s cricket and the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams playing in their grand finals. Wow, this is a fantastic achievement, and I have a good feeling our school may win some trophies – good luck everyone!
On the 18th of October, we will be holding our whole school fun run. I remember our fun run when I was in grade 4. It was one of the most fun memories I have ever had. I hope you will also cherish the day. So don’t forget to keep raising funds!
On the 21st to the 23rd of October, the Year 4’s have their camp at Silverband Lodge. I hope the grade 4’s have so much fun and bring back amazing memories.
For our grade 6 learners, graduation is just around the corner. Hope you are ready and be prepared for the day. This will be a day to remember for the rest of our lives.
The school captains are excited to announce we are making progress with the new year 6 area. We have asked for the students’ voice and your ideas to help this area be really exciting and fun. We look forward to sharing some photos in our next newsletter.
Thank you for reading this piece and you enjoy the rest of Term 3 and the school holidays!
