Another term over....

It's actually hard to believe that another term has been and gone. Personally I have thoroughly enjoyed many things over the last couple of months. As a Foundation teacher it is one of the most rewarding terms as the Foundation children start to join all of their learning together and take off with their reading , writing, counting and social skills.

The children have enjoyed much joy together with book day, pyjama and R U Ok? day as well as footy day. These are the days that allow us to truly build relationships and slow for a little bit spending time laughing and doing different things. I know there are bumps and hickups that happend throughout this term as well. I have been part of working in partnership with many friendship groups and families as we all support our children on their journey of working out how to be kind and thoughtful people in this world.

While I know many parents will be working these holidays I hope that families are able to take advantage of a slower pace a little bit without the school run and hobbies on. Parents I ask and remind you to be mindful of being fully present with your children for a little bit each day. It is something that as a mum and a teacher I am consciously practicing, being fully present in the moment. It is actually something that takes practise for us busy adults, but with time you do get better at it.

I hope you all have some joy over the holidays and I look forward to a fun filled Term 4 with everyone.

God bless,
