Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Mark 9: 30–37

Jesus teaches that to rank first, disciples must serve all. This is our reading for this weekend. But what does it mean for us? It’s a reminder that Jesus doesn’t define greatness the way the rest of the world does – either for himself or us. Jesus humbled himself continually.  May we all try and think of others before ourselves as often as we can!

School Events Recap

Performance Evening

Our Performance Evening last Thursday featuring our Art Exhibition and African Drumming presentation was a fabulous evening. What the students achieved in 9 weeks of lessons was amazing and seemed a lot of fun for both the performers and the crowd.  The art on display showcased a small sample of what the students have been learning with Mrs Ary.  A special thanks to our staff, particularly Mrs McArthur for her organising of the drumming performance and Mrs Ary for leading the setting up of the art exhibition.

Pyjama Day

In support of RUOK Day last Friday everyone was invited to come to school in their pyjamas. It was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about Mental Health and Well-being among our students and I thank Mrs Winduss for overseeing the organisation of this.

Fire Carriers Cultural Immersion Day – Monday

Last Monday our Fire Carriers participated in a Cultural Immersion Day. This was an enriching experience for all involved, offering deep insights into cultural traditions and practices and Mrs Ward said she was very pleased with how the day provided opportunities for the students to learn.

Nursery Rhyme Olympics- Wednesday

What a great time our Foundation students had on Wednesday competing in teams at their Olympics based on Nursery Rhymes. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who attended to be the crowd and to the Foundation staff for their organisation.
