Toward the end of Term 3 students in Years 5 and 6 were encouraged to create a storyboard about what respect looks like in their world. The Respect Competition was a way to encourage thinking about what respect and disrespect means.

A storyboard is a series of drawings that helps to show the main parts of a story. The drawings and the words used to describe what is happening.
The students could only use the 8 boxes provided in the template.
They could work alone, in pairs but no more than groups of three.
When designing their storyboard, the students had to think about what would happen in their story—what happens in the beginning, middle and end of a story.
‘Respect’ was a required theme of the story.
A winning entry is yet to be determined but you can read them all by opening the attachments below.
The winning entry will be framed along with a photo of the author(s) in the front entrance of the school.
A big thank you to Lucy, the 5L parent representative who organised a wonderful gathering for 5L families at ‘Skaterz’ (roller skating rink) during the holidays. It looks like many attended and had a great time!
