Principal's Address

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our first newsletter for Term 4.  I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and are ready for the busy term ahead.

This term is an exciting term with the pool reopening, which means swimming lessons! Swimming lessons from the staff at Dalby Aquatic Centre will occur every Tuesday, starting on Tuesday 5th November.  We will have 5 lessons in total.

We also welcome back Miss Carolyn Ferguson from the Art Cubby in Goondiwindi for weekly art lessons starting on Friday in week 4. The swim lessons and art lessons are detailed on the calendar attached.

There are 2 exciting events this week. 1. Josie Nolan is attending the State Track and Field Athletics championships.  We wish her all the best. 2. School Review validation team visit.

School-Led Review

As I have spoken about previously, the school-led review is a process that occurs every 4 years and is an opportunity for the whole school community to review the last 4 years and plan for the next 4 years of school improvement.  At the core of these evaluations lies our commitment to our students and the imperative to maximize their potential for achievement. It is essential that we systematically assess and refine our approaches to ensure that all students have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for their academic and personal growth. By prioritizing their needs and fostering an environment conducive to learning, we can effectively facilitate their success.

The Review validation team will be at school Thursday and Friday this week.  They will talk to all staff, students and contact as many parents as possible to get your feedback on the improvement direction for the next 4 years.  After this validation visit, we will then write the 4-year strategic plan that will guide the school from 2025-2028.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
