Creative Arts Evening

Oh! What a night!

Despite the cold conditions, St Mary of the Angels families ventured out to the Bill Wicks Gymnasium at Guyra Central School to watch the students perform at the annual Creative Arts Evening. And, boy, they certainly put on a show!

Our P&F catered for the event with beautifully presented, and much appreciated, grazing boxes filled with delicious treats to nibble on throughout the performance. Thank you all!

Upon arrival, families were welcomed into the Visual Arts exhibition spaces around the hall where they could admire the works of art from students Transition to Year 6. What colourful, creative displays to please the eye!

The evening began with a whole school song 'My Lighthouse' and the joyous performance certainly set the atmosphere for the evening. Each class were able to showcase their talents in Drama, Music and Dance and the audience was truly entertained by one and all. The finale was the fantastic Stage 3 adapted version of the play "Matilda" by Roald Dahl. The talent on show was a testiment to the hard work and creativity of both the students and the Skilled Helpful Adults at our lovely little school. What a surprise to see some unknown talent come into the spotlight!

Thank you to GCS for going above and beyond in ensuring our night ran smoothly and our school community for supporting a wonderful event!
