A Child Safe School

Our school is a place of safety.  Children need to feel safe, respected, and heard before learning.  We take the time to build trusting relationships with our children.

Central to the mission of our Catholic schools in Horsham – Ss Michael & John’s Primary School and St Brigid’s College – is an absolute commitment to fostering the dignity, 

self-esteem and integrity of children and young people and providing them with a safe, supportive and enriching environment to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

Ss Michael & John’s is a Child Safe School.  The Child Safe Standards came into effect in July 2022 and are a vital part of what we do. 

But what do these standards look like in practice?  In future newsletters we will look at each standard in closer detail and explain some of the ways we work to embed these in our school culture.  Ss Michael & John’s Child Safety Officers are Mrs Lousie Chesterfield and Mrs Lisa Glatz.
