DSPS | Glow Up | Update

There was no rest for the Good Old Dana over the holidays.
The school was abuzz with a trade roll call that would make producers of The Block proud.
Carpenters, plumbers, electricians, removalists, welders, blind installers, sign writers, cleaners and painters were all on site—each fiercely competing for the highly coveted and completely fictional “Trade of the Week Award”. Bonus points given to whose who played the best music.
But first, lets go back to a previous episode of DSPS Glow Up, when the 1/2S class posed the question 'what colour pencil is stuck under the carpet' (A mystery that transcended generations of students in this classroom).
I was desperate to strike a gold nugget !! Eureka !! But alas .... it was ... not 1 but 2 grey led pencils. No Gold. Sad Face.
Phase 2 | Carpet Project
Fresh new carpets have been installed in Foundation, 1/2B, 1/2S, and 1/2K, bringing a noticeable improvement in both comfort and appearance — a treat for all the senses!
The new 3/4 Wall has made a significant difference to the functionality to learning spaces in this area.
Next time you enter through the Dana Street gate, take a moment to admire the newly repaired Jubilee Gate signage, proudly sparkling above our school entrance.
New Bubble Taps
Fresh plumbing and tapware might not scream “Glow-Up Glam”, but they make a world of difference.
Our brand-new troughs and tapware have replaced a system that served us faithfully for over 15 years — and student feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Updated school signage and refreshed playgound artwork is scheduled for Term 4 and will complete Season 1 of DSPS Glow Up.
Stay tunned for DSPS Glow Up |Season 2 ... Coming in 2026.
