Ryan’s Rambling

Dear Families,
Welcome back to Term 4! It has been absolutely wonderful to see the children’s smiling faces back at school this week. There’s always such a buzz around the grounds at the start of a new term with stories from the holidays being shared, friends reconnecting, and that familiar sense of excitement as we head into the final part of the school year.
Over the holidays, we had a lot of maintenance and improvement works happening across the school. You may notice some of the changes already; new carpet in several learning spaces in the main building, new bubble taps installed for the students, and a solid wall in the 3/4 area, which will make a big difference to the learning environment. These improvements are all part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our school a safe, comfortable and inspiring place to learn. We’re still waiting on the painting of the school grounds to be completed, which will give everything a fresh, vibrant look once finished. A big thank you to Penny for coordinating much of this work behind the scenes.
Term 4 is always one of the busiest times of the year. It is full of learning, events, and celebrations, and often passes very quickly! It’s a time when students consolidate their learning and reflect on how much they’ve grown over the year. We’ll have a number of special events coming up, including swimming, excursions, our end-of-year celebrations, our school mural, and transition activities for students moving into new year levels.
We’d also like to take a moment to wish Xavier Jones all the very best as he begins some well-deserved leave to prepare for the arrival of his second child. This is such an exciting time for Xavier and his partner Adriana, and we know our whole school community joins in wishing them happiness and good health as they await their new arrival.
A reminder that swimming lessons begin next week, and we ask families to please pack bags the night before to help ensure a smooth start each morning. Swimming is such a valuable life skill, and we’re really pleased to be able to offer this program again for all our students.
