Grade 2/3/4

Welcome back to Term 4! It was great to see everyone after holidays and their positive attitudes in learning this week!

In Literacy, we have started studying our new class novel 'Charlotte's Web' by E.B White. We have started reading the first three chapters, with some students being confident to read a page to the class! Simultaneously we have been exploring compound sentences in great details with the students excited to learn about FANBOYS to remember coordinating conjunctions, F- For, A- And, N-Nor, B-But, O- Or, Y- Yet, and S- So.

In Numeracy, the 2/3/4's have been exploring Data in depth by using the knowledge of discrete and categorical data to create their own survey questions. They have also enjoyed making their own column graphs and pictographs with their data they collected.

In Science, students have been revising what they know about solids, liquids and gases. They enjoyed making custard and exploring whether this was a solid, liquid or both!
