Grade Prep/1

Welcome back to Term 4!

It’s hard to believe our Preps are heading into their final term of their very first year of school!

This week in Reading, we have been exploring The Gruffalo and learning all about forest animals. We’ve discovered how snakes, foxes, and owls all have a liking for little mice—just like in the story! The students have loved reading The Gruffalo and are excited to continue with it next week.

In Writing, we’ve been learning about different types of sentences—statements, questions, and exclamations—and can’t wait to dive deeper into these next week.

In Maths, our Preps have been learning to read, write, and represent two-digit numbers, while our Year 1s have been practising addition within 20.

Today we had a special PJ Day, enjoying popcorn and Milo together—it was such a fun way to finish the week!
