This week, our school community came together for two significant milestones – the Celebration of Excellence and the farewell to our Year 12 Graduates of 2025. Together, these events honoured the achievements, leadership, and dedication of our senior students while recognising the hard work that still lies ahead as they approach the final stage of their schooling journey.

At the Celebration of Excellence, we proudly acknowledged the outstanding academic accomplishments and contributions of students across all year levels. A highlight of the evening was the announcement of our College Dux (Internal Results) for 2025 and the acknowledgement of 36 exceptional Year 12 students who achieved an ATAR indication of 95.0 or above based on their Internal Summative Assessment results – a reflection of their sustained effort and the invaluable support of their teachers, families, and peers.

As we celebrated their achievements, we also farewelled our Year 12 cohort, congratulating them on their efforts throughout the Senior Phase of learning. While formal classes have concluded, the coming weeks remain crucial. Over the next three weeks, students will sit their External Exams for all General subjects, marking the culmination of years of dedication and perseverance.

Now is the time for our Year 12s to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to finishing well. Students are encouraged to revise the key subject matter outlined in each syllabus, practise relevant modes of assessment, and attend Support Sessions offered during Swot Vac and throughout the External Exam period. Details of these sessions are available via the Academics Tile on MyMtA: 2025 QCAA External Assessment timetable.

Equally important is maintaining good health and wellbeing. A balanced routine of nutritious meals, regular exercise, and adequate rest will help students stay energised and focused throughout the exam period.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to our teaching and support staff, whose tireless efforts and commitment to student success made these achievements possible. Their belief in every student’s potential is a cornerstone of our thriving learning environment.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 12s – not only for their academic success, but for their leadership, character, and contribution to our school community. We wish them every success in their upcoming exams and look forward to celebrating with them once more at our Graduation events in the coming weeks.
