Welcome to Term 4!

We’ve had a fun-filled start to the term with our first two gym sessions. These sessions have been a fantastic opportunity for students to build on their skills, get active, and have lots of fun together.

Our Grade 6 students have now started their transition days as they prepare for secondary school. We’re also looking forward to our own transition and Step Up Day in December, where we’ll welcome our new 2026 Foundation families. This is always an exciting time for our school community.

This term is packed with events and activities, so please keep an eye on the calendar and regularly check uEducateUs for permission slips and further updates.

We’re also very pleased to welcome Ben to our staff team for the next few weeks. Ben will be working as an Education Support (ES) staff member. If you see him around, please make him feel welcome.

We’re expecting Miss Childs to return at some point this term, although we can’t confirm the exact date yet. A huge thank you to Mrs Wilson for stepping in to support our students, maintain their routines, and ensure their learning continues seamlessly.

SunSmart Reminder

As the weather warms up, please make sure your child is bringing a broad-brimmed hat to school each day. Sunscreen should also be applied at home in the morning, and students are encouraged to reapply throughout the day. Being SunSmart helps keep everyone safe and comfortable while enjoying outdoor activities.

Library for Littles (L4L)

It’s been wonderful to see our Library for Littles program running each week. During these sessions, senior students read a story to our younger community members and then complete a fun, hands-on activity together. This is a great way to build early literacy skills and strengthen connections between our students and families.

Everyone is welcome to join us every Wednesday at 9:00 am in the school library. We’d love to see you there!

A Special Gift for Inglewood Primary

We are very excited to share some wonderful news with our school community. Thanks to the generosity of Dona Martin, who recently worked as a guest editor for the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) magazine Prime Number, our school has received a free one-year subscription to MAV for 2026.

In place of payment for her editorial work, Dona kindly requested that the subscription be gifted to Inglewood Primary School, and MAV was delighted to agree.

This subscription will give our teachers access to high-quality mathematics resources, professional learning opportunities, and teaching ideas to further support our students’ learning.

A big thank you to Dona for thinking of our school and supporting maths learning at Inglewood.
