Outdoor Education

All the fun from Year 9 Surf Camp at Anglesea!

Our students had a fantastic time connecting classroom learning about the coastal environment and safety in the outdoors with the natural environment. Students also took part in surf lessons, bodyboarding and rock-climbing activities and visited the Surf Museum in Torquay.

Unit 3/4 Outdoor & Environmental Studies Camp Recap

Our VCE OES students recently took on an epic adventure around Mt Buller, immersing themselves in the Alpine environment while exploring human interactions and impacts on this unique habitat.

From tackling mountain biking trails, conquering the Rockwire Via Ferrata, to hiking and camping out at the iconic Craig’s Hut—students experienced firsthand the challenges and beauty of this environment.

Through these hands-on activities, they deepened their understanding of sustainability, conservation, and the balance between outdoor recreation and environmental protection. A huge effort from all involved!
