Harmony Week
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
On Thursday 20th March, our students and staff can celebrate by wearing orange or cultural dress to show our support of this important week. This celebration creates opportunities for all of us to think, talk about and recognise how our differences make Australia a great place to live.
P&C News
The P&C Annual General Meeting was held in Week 7. I am pleased to announce that we have a P&C executive to lead the P&C for 2025. They are:
President: Jennifer Lam
Vice President: My Anh Ma
Treasurer: Natasha Cuenza
Secretary: Jennie Huynh
Please support their fundraising efforts throughout the year. The first will be the Easter Raffle. Details will be sent out later this week.
Illegal Parking on Sandringham St
Did you know in NSW, double parking is illegal? You must not park your vehicle alongside another parked vehicle. As Sandringham St is a two-way road, double parking blocks the 'way' for other vehicles, especially for residents of the street.
Fairfield City Council have sent a letter to me to remind parents (drivers) of the parking rules, which carry a fine of $283. If the "Kiss and Ride Zone" is full, then drivers should go around the block.
"Kiss and Ride" zones, also known as drop-off and pick-up areas, are designated areas near schools or public transport hubs that allow drivers to briefly stop to drop off or pick up passengers for a maximum of 2 minutes, while remaining within 3 meters of the vehicle.
Quote for Week 8
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
