Students with allergies

As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students, we would like to remind everyone about the importance of being aware of food allergies, particularly regarding nut products.

Food allergies can pose serious health risks for some students, and exposure to allergens, such as nuts, can lead to severe reactions. To help protect our students with nut allergies, we kindly ask all families to refrain from sending any foods that contain nuts or nut products to school. This includes items such as:

  • peanut butter
  • Nutella
  • peanut m&ms
  • nut-based snacks
  • and any baked goods that may contain nuts.

We encourage everyone to read food labels carefully and to opt for nut-free alternatives when packing lunches and snacks. This small effort can make a significant difference in the safety and well-being of our students.

If your child has a food allergy, please reinforce their understanding of not accepting food offered by peers.

Our staff are trained to respond to allergic reactions and are committed to supporting all students in a safe learning environment.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding

K-2 Assemblies

Last week was the first time that K-2 got together for a rehearsal assembly and the K-2 team feel that one more practice would benefit our students in following the expectations of a more formal setting. This means that from Friday 28 March K-2 families will be invited to attend assembly in the hall. Each class will take turns to host assembly each fortnight and when hosting will showcase some learning or sing a song. The dates for when classes will host an assembly will be published in an upcoming newsletter notice.

Parents will be notified if their child will be receiving an award at assembly.

Scripture

This week SRE and SEE commenced, last week we hosted the wonderful scripture volunteers for an induction.
