Thank you to all our families for your support in implementing our new drop-off routine at the school gate. The transition has been smooth and positive, with students arriving calm, independent, and ready to learn each morning. Teachers have noticed a settled start to the day, and it’s been great to see students confidently walking in with their bags, reconnecting with friends, and preparing for the day ahead. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to create a safe and efficient morning routine for everyone.
Last Wednesday was P&C Day, recognising the incredible contribution of our Parents & Citizens Association to our school community. Our P&C plays a vital role in enhancing student learning, supporting school initiatives, and fostering a strong sense of community. From organising events to fundraising for important school projects, their dedication makes a real difference. We extend our sincere thanks to all P&C members—past and present—for their hard work and commitment to our school. If you’re interested in getting involved, we encourage you to join us at our next P&C meeting.
Thank you for Mr Brood, Mrs Croom and Mr Harty for organising a fantastic swimming carnival on Wednesday. The event ran smoothly, with students showing great sportsmanship and enthusiasm in the pool. This year marked a change to a competitors-only format, and after gathering feedback, we are pleased to confirm that this structure will remain moving forward. The new format allowed for a focused and efficient event, ensuring a great experience for all involved. Congratulations to all our swimmers, and thank you again to our staff for making the day such a success.

Tomorrow is International Women's Day. I would like to recognise and celebrate the incredible women who contribute so much to our school and wider community. We are fortunate to have exceptional female educators, staff, parents, and community members who serve as strong role models for our students, particularly the young girls who look to them for inspiration. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to education help shape the future for all our students.
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. Please visit the Harmony Week website for further details.
On Friday 21 March, Chatswood Public School will be celebrating Harmony Day as part of Harmony Week. Students and staff are invited to come to school dressed in cultural clothing or orange. No gold coin donation is required.
