He and his wife Kylie have been married since the late 1990s and are proud parents of six daughters.
About the session
Is your child struggling with setbacks? Do you worry they're not equipped to handle life's challenges? "How can I help my child be more resilient?" is a question Dr Justin Coulson, renowned parenting expert, often hears from worried mums and dads.
In Resilience: Developing Strength, Calm & Kindness in Our Kids, Dr Justin will be sharing his groundbreaking approach to building resilience in children. You’ll learn the psychological secrets that build your child’s sense of identity, strengths, and growth mindset in order to perform better, be happier, and build resilience. Discover practical strategies to help your child thrive in the face of adversity and reduce your own parenting stress.
Dr Justin will explain the factors that help and hinder resilience, why common advice such as "toughen up, Princess" just doesn't work, and how competition and praise may undermine resilience.
Using powerful stories and illustrations that every parent can relate to, this session will show you how to help your child cope positively with the challenges that life throws at them.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to gain expert insights that will make a real difference in your family.
All NCS families are invited to our Twilight Family Picnic on Friday 21 March from 5.30-7.30pm!
The evening is designed to be a ‘come when you can and leave when you must’ event. We are hoping to have the SALT Ministries 'Delilah' Coffee Van and The 'Frisky Frilly' Gelato Van join us. The school will run a BBQ of gourmet rolls and sausage sandwiches. Tickets are $5pp which includes a sausage bun, a drink/coffee and a gelato. Children under 3 are free.
It is also free entry for families who would like to bring their own dinner.
This year, (weather permitting) the picnic will be held on the grassed area behind the Secondary Admin and new TAS/VA Centre. Please remember to bring your own picnic rugs and/or chairs. There will be a jumping castle and other games and entertainment.
Everyone is required to have secured a ticket from Try booking, even if you are bringing your own meal.
Ticket Prices
You do not need to print your tickets but you may need to show them on your phone. Those who have purchased the dinner option will pick up a voucher at the gate which will allow you to get your sausage sizzle, drink and gelato.
We can't wait to see everyone come together on the 21st March!
Primary Carnival
Our annual NCS Primary Cross Country Carnival is coming soon!
Thursday 27th March 2025
8:30 - 10:25am
We will congregate on the school's Southern Oval. We are hoping to have a coffee van there, so come along to watch the action and grab a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Catch up with other parents, friends and carers. Cheers along the competitors as they compete on our new, improved course around the school's considerable campus.
Please encourage your children to prepare by training at home after school and at weekends in the lead up. Top 5 finishers for both boys and girls from each age group in Years 3-6 will qualify for the South Coast Zone XC event on May 8th 2025 at Willandra, Brown's Mountain Road, Tapitallee.
See you at school for this excellent fun event on Thursday, Week 8.
Secondary Carnival
Get ready for a day of running, fun, and school spirit! Whether competing to qualify for Zone level or joining the House Fun Run Challenge, every student plays a part.
