News from Year Three

Seesaw

Last week, in Year 3, we began sharing our work using Seesaw. A link has been sent to your parent email, and you can connect to your child's Seesaw account and see the brilliant work they have been doing!

Spelling

We are so proud of the effort our Year 3s are putting into their spelling!

Using mini-whiteboards is an invaluable tool as they both engage students and allow the teacher to check students’ understanding.  Mini-whiteboards enable a teacher to see all written or drawn responses simultaneously. Teachers can then ensure that every student is participating and accountable.

Maths

We have been focussing on reading the time on digital devices and estimating the duration of events (how long would it take to tie your shoelace? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days?)

This week we have been learning about multiplication and division. Our Daily Review is very important to review the things we have learnt over the whole term. This encourages whole class participation to activate prior knowledge.
