Swimming Victoria is hosting a free webinar on Wed, March 12th @ 7pm on Team Managers. The session will be run by an experienced TM from another club and focus on important tips and tasks in the lead up and during the swim event. We are always looking for volunteers to help as Team Managers at the meets our swimmers attend. If you've been thinking of helping out and want to know more about what's involved this is a great way to get some info. You can click the following link to register and listen in: Team Manager Webinar | Swimming VIC
With our current RSC Technical Official moving out of state, we are looking for some members who would be interested in taking over this role. Technical officials are the backbone of swimming competitions everywhere and are much needed to keep our sport running, because without them, there can be no meets! Becoming an official is rewarding and an excellent way to contribute to the sport, spend time with your children, create great friendships and gain professional development. Any member can become a technical official. Training and support are provided, and it's a paid gig, so a great way to earn a little bit extra on the side! If you’re interested in learning more, please send an email to admin@ringwoodswimmingclub.org.au and I will be happy to give you more information. You can also click the following link to get a better idea of the training provided: About Technical Officials (TOs) | Swimming VIC
Please be sure to label your swimmer's equipment with their name (use a white marker!). The equipment all looks the same when the swimmers pick it up at the end of a session and we have many swimmers who pick up someone else's fins/kickboard/pull buoy, etc. It can be difficult to even realize your swimmer may have picked up the wrong equipment. Please label your gear to make it easier to identify.
