This Week At OOPS

Teddy Bears' Picnic
Our Prep and Year 6 students had a great time at yesterday's Teddy Bears' Picnic. Lots of fun and yummy food was shared in the sunshine.
What a busy week our Year 4s have had! In Literacy, we revisited our sticky note thinking codes. For writing, they have identified a change in the community they would like to see to support writing purpose. Lastly, enjoying hands on learning when telling time and making clocks.
Our Kitchen Garden has started off smoothly. Our students made zucchini fritters, cleared out the garden and learnt about why we need to schedule planting.
This week, the Year 3 students have been exploring formal measurement with a variety of tools. The students were tasked with the problem “How big, wide and long?”. They got to explore outside, developed understanding of measuring from 0 and begun to understand the concepts of perimeter and area. It was great to take our learning outside on a larger scale and measuring important areas in the school!
2AT received some help from Ginger this week with their phonics and sound mapping. Great job Ginger!
