Dear Families,

It has been a busy end to Term 3 with lots of learning and school events!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Stewart House Fundraiser last week. It was great to see students and staff wearing their pyjamas to help raise money for such a great charity that benefits our students. We really appreciate your support.

As we head in to Term 4 and the weather getting warmer, please ensure your child wears a school hat to protect them from the sun. Students will be encouraged to find the shade if they do not have a hat. You can purchase school hats from the school office on Thursday mornings. The school office will also be open on Monday October 13 for any uniform purchases for Term 4.

This week we have reviewed our attendance data and it has been pleasing to see that we have improved our attendance this term. We hope that everyone enjoyed our  “Good to See You” celebration this week.Further improving our attendance rate in Term 4 will be a priority and we thank you for your support and assistance in helping your child to be ready to learn and to arrive at school on time.

Our last cohort of teachers for this year have completed their professional learning in the Quality Teaching Rounds with the University of Newcastle. This training will help us keep improving how we teach and support students.

Also, thank you to all of the students who joined me for a special morning tea last week. I enjoyed sharing some yummy morning tea with them all. I would like to say that the Principal's morning tea is a highlight of my week.

As we take a break for holidays, I encourage you all to rest up as Term 4 is looking jam packed with learning and activities.  We will distribute a calendar of events for the term shortly, but please make note of the 'save the date' for our official end of year events.

Thank you for your support and see you all next term!

Kind regards

Steve
