A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Father’s Day; a fun celebration!

It was wonderful to see so many dads celebrating Father’s Day with our school community. A big shout out to our Stage 3 class for helping with the Liturgy so respectfully and for leading the games section of the day. Also, a huge thank you to Mrs Michelle Cortis for creating the video of the students talking about their dad and for feeding everyone so well. It was a pleasure to watch the students interacting so happily with our special visitors.

3 Way Learning Conferences

Please book a time for your 3 Way Parent, Student, Teacher Learning Conference coming up in Week 9 & Week 10. This is a really important meeting where your child leads the conversation about their learning. The focus is on goal setting. WHY GOAL SETTING? It's so important for your child to be involved in their own learning journey! 🚀 When students are active in setting and reviewing their learning goals, they develop a sense of ownership and responsibility. This process helps them understand what they're learningwhy it's important, and how they're progressing. It turns learning into a partnership between the student, the teacher, and you, the parent.

By regularly talking about and checking on their goals, children learn valuable skills like self-reflectionperseverance, and problem-solving. It helps build their confidence and shows them that their efforts lead to success, which makes them more motivated to learn. Ultimately, this approach helps create a positive mindset for lifelong learning.

Have a happy week
