Hello Everyone,
Survey - WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback.
We sent you an invitation to complete the survey via Compass and email on Thursday 29th August. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will remain open online until Friday 19 September 2025.
The survey is available in English and 10 other languages: Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
If you require assistance in another language, there are survey translation guides available in 29 other languages – ask for one of these at the office.
If you are having trouble accessing the survey at home, there are some iPads available at school for you to use, please ask for one at the office.
Should you have any questions about the survey, please see the office.
Sun Smart
From around end of August until the end of April, the UV rating in Victoria often reaches above 3. This is why all primary schools in Victoria implement their ‘No hat, no play’ Policy from the 1st of September. Make sure you have the appropriate school hat and write your name clearly on it.
We also encourage students to apply sunscreen before coming to school and utilizing other methods of sun protection.

Reflecting on Our Science Celebration of Learning
This week, we welcomed families into our classrooms for the Science Celebration of Learning, and it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible work our students have been doing in Science. The event highlighted not only their knowledge but also their curiosity, creativity, and ability to think like scientists.
Science Through Inquiry 2.0
Our Science curriculum is built around Inquiry 2.0, a refreshed approach to inquiry-based learning that aligns with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. This model encourages students to ask meaningful questions, investigate real-world phenomena, and communicate their findings in thoughtful and engaging ways.
During the celebration, families saw firsthand how students are:
Presenting their learning through models, reports, and digital media
Victorian Curriculum 2.0 in Action
The updated curriculum places a strong emphasis on:
Our teaching teams have worked hard to embed these elements into every unit, ensuring students are not only learning content but also developing the skills to apply it in meaningful ways.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to prepare for the full rollout of Inquiry 2.0 in 2026, events like the Science Celebration of Learning remind us of the power of student-led inquiry. We’re proud of the way our students are engaging with science and excited about the future of learning at our school.
Thank you to all families who attended and supported the event. Your involvement helps strengthen the connection between home and school and reinforces the value of learning in our community.
