Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Survey – Have Your Say
Thank you to the families who have already taken the time to complete the annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey.
Ms. Scott has sent an invitation to all families to participate in this important survey, which provides valuable feedback on a range of areas including curriculum, student wellbeing, and our sense of community. Your insights play a key role in helping us improve and grow as a school.
The survey closes on Thursday 19 September. If you need any assistance to complete the survey, please don’t hesitate to contact us — we’re happy to help.
Road Safety Reminder – Queen & Hogan Street Intersection
Road safety is a regular focus in our school community, and I want to highlight an area of concern that has recently been brought to my attention — the intersection at Quinn Street and Hogan Street.
This is a particularly busy crossing, especially before and after school, with many students walking and riding bikes through this area. While we always encourage families to use the designated school crossing on Hogan Street, we understand that some choose the more direct route via Quinn Street.
Unfortunately, there have been two recent accidents and several near misses involving cars and both pedestrians and cyclists at this intersection.
I urge all drivers to slow down and stay alert when travelling near the school, particularly around this intersection. I also encourage all parents and carers to talk with their children — especially those who walk or ride home independently — about taking extra care and making safe choices when crossing busy roads.
Year 4 Excursion – National Gallery of Victoria
Our Year 4 students were very fortunate to attend the National Gallery today. This was sponsored by a benefactor from the gallery.
It is a wonderful program which provides students with a once in a lifetime opportunity to view works from the Boston Gallery in America.
I was lucky to attend this excursion to view the many fantastic works of French Impressionists such as Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne.
Look out for more information in next weeks newsletter.
Celebrations of Learning
Thank you to all the parents who attended the Celebrations of Learning, some of them focusing on Science Units of Work.
The students were so excited to share their learning with their families and I particularly enjoyed watching the Year 1 students testing how far their hand made vehicles would travel down the ramp.
Look out for more photos and information on Seesaw.
Kind Regards,
