Dear Families, Students and Community Members,
As we come close to the end of another academic year at Mordialloc College for our senior students we are again proud to celebrate the wonderful relationships and successes we experience in our Senior School. Our Year 12 VCE-Vocational Major students finished their school studies at the end of week one, with many moving into full time apprenticeships, traineeships and employment already and some preparing to enter into the next phase of studying in 2026.
There were a range of activities and celebrations at the end of term three. Some highlights included Mordi Idol, Book Week and Year 12 celebrations. Performances at Mordi Idol were fantastic, with students and staff singing, dancing and playing instruments. Book week characters made their way around Mordialloc College, everyone got into the spirit dressing up as characters from their favourite book, show or movie. Coordinated outfits and being in character made it an enjoyable day. Year 12 students enjoyed reconnecting with their primary school friends dressing in their uniforms from Grade 6 and also dressing as their future self.

We are reaching the Senior School exam period, with VCAA languages and performance exams already underway and the major VCE exams starting on 28th October with English. Year 10 and 11 students will embark on their exams from 12th November. All students are reminded to read the exams navigator and ensure they arrive with plenty of time and all the necessary materials.
We are preparing to say goodbye and good luck to the Class of 2025 next week, with a final assembly on Tuesday 21st October. For many of us, it will be a time of very mixed emotions. As always, we will be sad to see them go, but incredibly proud of their achievements. We look forward to further celebrations at the Valedictory Dinner after the VCAA exams have finished.
I wish the Class of 2025 all the very best for the future and hope they keep in contact with us at Mordialloc College so that we can share in their future successes, of which I have no doubt there will be many.
The 2026 Headstart program begins on Monday 24th November and we are anticipating a positive start for all our students in Senior School.
Congratulations to all students who have tried hard to achieve their personal best in any aspect of life throughout 2025 - keep going, you are almost there. I look forward to working with you all again in 2026.
