The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023.                

Georgia & Charlotte Donnelly were both honoured to have been selected as torch bearers for the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023. They completed their leg on Thursday 21st September in Bendigo. 

The relay began on Sunday 23rd April 2023 in Pozieres, France. It then travelled to London, England and is currently touring around Australia. 

The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay 2023 is a 6-month campaign to pay homage and acknowledge veterans’ families, saluting their sacrifice. 

The relay will have travelled over 50,000 km, through 100 stops, carried by approximately 1000 torch bearers to raise over $10 million at its completion.

Blacksmithing Program 

Thank you to all the families who attended the Blacksmithing program, organised by the Defence member and family support (DMFS.) The sun was shining for the 4 days which made for a wonderful event. 

Seymour Show – Poppy project 

Get down to the Seymour show Friday 6th 4pm - 9pm & Saturday 9am – 4pm 

We will have our Seymour College Community Poppy Project on display, along with some of our students art work. This year we are adding to our Remembrance Day display with the addition of purple poppies, in honour of the animals of war. The Defence students have been very busy getting the horse up and ready for the public to see. We could not have done this without the support of our Defence and local families & community groups.
