Op Shop-3/4D & 3/4JS Inquiry Excursion

On the 13/9/2023 the classes of 3/4D and 3/4J arrived at the Op shop to learn about second hand items that have been donated to Salvos to be sold or taken to the main store to be recycled.

The classes of 3/4D and 3/4J were given the task of finding objects that could be upcycled.

For example, on the wall 3/4J found some vinyl records that could be upcycled into clocks.

In the shoe racks a pair of students found some shoes that could be used as a pot plant if you poke some holes in the sole of the shoe.

A fact that 3/4J learnt is that approximately 500 items get donated this to Salvation Army daily.

Over all the students of 3/4D and 3/4J had a fun time learning about how the Salvation Army works and all the great work they do for the community.
