Captains' Corner

Hi Clayfield! Caitlin and Roxy here, and we are so proud, and incredibly excited to say we are your 2024 College Captains. 

To introduce ourselves, we are both part of Gibson, we have a serious love for the beach, and you have no idea how many times we have been mistaken as sisters (we are not, we promise). After the announcement of our roles last week, we have been busy putting together our ideas and vision for the College next year, and while we cannot share everything we are planning, we can say 2024 is going to be a year to remember! 

We also wanted to give a huge congratulations to all the other Year 11 students who received leadership positions at last week’s Assembly. We are looking forward to working closely with all of you to lead our College as a connected cohort.

One of our roles as College Captains that we are especially excited for includes leading the Student Representative Council (SRC) as its chairs. The SRC is made up of two representatives from each year level and aims to provide a platform for students to make an impact in our College community. Last week, we met with the other members of the SRC and presented our vision for the group, which includes assigning projects to SRC representatives that cover some key areas of College life.  We look forward to sharing these with you and really can not wait to work on achieving big things with this group.
