Principal's Report
Grandparents' Day
We are planning to have our Grandparents' Day on Friday, 27th October. That's just over two weeks away! Please share this date with grandparents and special friends. The day is likely to run from 11.30am to 1.30pm (or 2.00pm for those who want to stay and have lunch with their grandchildren). More details will be provided via Compass soon.
Be Awesome Day 2024
This special day on our calendar is taking place on Friday 3rd November. Please read the details about this day on the Engagement and Wellbeing page of the newsletter.
Art Display
We have a wonderful new display in the Admin Building, thanks to our Grade 5/6 students. Mrs Leed has been working with the students to do portraits of all of our staff. She then selected the 'winning' portraits for display. Special thanks to Hardy for his portrait of me. I asked him why he made my head look like a brushed potato. I guess if it is an accurate representation of me, I can't be too critical! :)
My personal favourite is of Sam, our crossing supervisor. I also love that people are getting Mr Greer and I confused. Mr Greer is not loving this as much as me!
Well done to all Grade 5/6 students. It is a great display and highlights the awesome work you do with Mrs Leed. Check out the images below and see how many staff you recognise.
Thanks Danny!
On Wednesday we will farewell Danny, our technician, after working with us for the last 13 years. Danny has been an amazing technician, always calm and highly skilled when responding to problems at our school. We all wish Danny well for his promotion, knowing he will do an outstanding job.
Final Curriculum Day for 2023
Our final Curriculum Day for 2023 will be held on Wednesday 15th November. I will contact Camp Australia and see if they can offer a service on this day.
Emergency Contact Details
As we commence Term 4, it is timely to think about emergency contact information that is held by the school for your child/children. Spring Gully Primary School is also on the Bushfire at Risk Register and up to date information is vital for the school. It seems crazy, but we will soon be talking about the risk of bushfires. If you or your listed emergency contacts have recently changed contact details, can you please make sure that the office staff have been informed.
Note: This also relates to the most up to date medical information for your child/children.
Change of Plans for 2024?
Accurate enrolment numbers are crucial when it comes to planning for 2024. If your child/children will not be with us next year, please contact your child’s teacher or the office as soon as possible.
