Disability Inclusion at Concord School

Gallery Image

We have started the first weeks of the year with some Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) meetings for a few students. The parents and students have attended these meetings and have played an important role in the meeting. The picture above includes one of our secondary teachers, a parent of student in a DIP meeting and two facilitators who regularly facilitate meetings for students at our school.

We have also just completed a series of Disability Inclusion Profile professional learning sessions for all staff across the school. These have included some ‘mock meetings’ for teachers to observe and ask questions. It has been a valuable learning experience for teachers and education support staff to see a meeting take place and deepen their knowledge about Disability Inclusion at our school.

Easy English resources about both the Disability Inclusion Profile (PDF) and the profile meeting itself (PDF) are available.

If you have any questions about Disability Inclusion, please feel free to phone the school at the Bundoora campus Monday-Friday and ask to speak to Rachael Macmillan, (Disability Inclusion Leader) or email me at Rachael.Macmillan@education.vic.gov.au. Stacey Bilchouris is our Disability Inclusion Learning Specialist, and can be contacted by phone at the Bundoora Campus on Tuesdays and Fridays, or via email at Stacey.Bilchouris@education.vic.gov.au

If your child requires a Disability Inclusion Profile meeting, you will be contacted by Stacey or myself, Rachael Macmillan

The diagram below shows the six domains of the Disability Inclusion Profile and the levels of adjustments that are applied.
