The school year has begun positively, with students forming connections with their peers, classroom education support staff, teachers and leaders within their section. Through our school start up programs, students have been settling into their new classrooms, establishing routines and exploring their local community. Our 7/8 students have commenced their swimming program, the 9/10 students have visited Binnak Park, and the 11/12 students have begun their Work-Related Skills programs.

Our primary-aged students have been exploring their play spaces and building friendships, while our Prep students have enjoyed their very first week of school.

In Week 1, it was wonderful to see such strong attendance at our Student Support Group (SSG) meetings. Minutes from your meeting will be uploaded to your child’s Compass profile. If you experience any difficulty accessing these, please contact your classroom teacher or Team Leader. These meetings have been a valuable opportunity to share information and build strong connections from day one.

At Concord, we are fortunate to have dedicated leadership across each section. The teaching and learning leaders for 2026 are highlighted below. Please feel free to make contact to introduce yourself or reach out at any time throughout the year for support. I am always available at flora.nixon@education.vic.gov.au for any questions relating to the whole-school teaching and learning program.

I look forward to another year filled with learning, connection and fun.
